Not So Persuasive
- Measurement:
- 14 x 20 (centimeters, height x width)
- Notes:
- A map intended to show the spread of prohibition. The decision to divide the map by counties or townships resulted in a cluttered image that lacked force. By comparison, the Woman Suffrage movement at the same time was using a similar map to great effect. See Subjects > Suffrage. For the use of prohibition maps of this type generally, see Schulten 2021. For two more effective prohibition maps of the time, see ID #1180, The March of Prohibition, 1915, and ID #1183, The Wet and Dry Map, 1916. For other Prohibition-related maps, see Subjects > Alcohol.
