- Notes:
- One of the very first published suffrage maps, from a 1908 article in Harper's Weekly, by Bertha Knobe, who first produced the map. It illustrates both the domestic U.S. situation and suffrage around the world. In this version of the map, the states that had adopted suffrage are shown in black, and those that had not in white, a convention soon reversed.
