Cornell University Buildings - Measurement:
- 1:100 (scale)
- Description:
- A map of Cornell Campus buildings and roads in the year 1905. Roads and footpaths are depicted as parallel lines and vary widths in accordance with real-world measurements. Streets are labeled with capitalized letters either on the inside or directly outside their parallel lines. Cascadilla Creek and Fall Creek and their gorges are illustrated at the southern and northern areas of the map, respectively, illustrated by hashmarks pointing towards the bottom of the gorge. The rivers and other small water features are illustrated by concentric lines within their boundaries. The footprints of 47 university buildings, shaded by diagonal lines, and 54 private residences are drawn on the map. University buildings are labelled with capitalized letters in the spaces directly outside the shaded footprints. 43 of the residences are numbered according to a key, listing the professors and fraternities occupying those houses at the time. The extent of map stretches from Thurston Avenue in the north to Dryden Road in the south, and Stewart Avenue in the west to Garden Avenue in the east.
