- Description:
- Gaumukh or "cows mouth" is where the Gangotri glacier melts, forming the Bhagirathi Ganga. The glacier is more than 30 km long, 100 m high, altitude 13,000 ft. Gaumukh is a 23 km hike along the Bhagirathi from Gangotri.
