- Description:
- Snuff box was manufactured in the shape of a book. Exterior consists a hand-colored portrait of Zachary Taylor on one side and printed text reading FORGET / ME / NOT on the other
both are covered with glass. Interior of box contains a mirror. Snuff box is likely to be a memorial item issued after Taylor's death in 1850. Collection contains two slightly variant copies of item.
