- Description:
- Wooden replica axe has A. LINCOLN / 1860 painted on both faces. Item donor Susan H. Douglas's notes indicate that the axe was said to have been carried in a Wide Awake parade in Hudson, New York 1860. The axe was a symbol for Lincoln the railsplitter.
