- Torch light parade helmet is unadorned except for shiny metal band around base. Helmet contains mounting for suspending a spherical kerosene torch above its crown. Item donor Susan H. Douglas dates helmet to 1884, possibly on the basis of dated sales fliers advertising helmets of similar design.
