- Jimmy Noland, a drummer boy. While convalescent he was the "orderly" of us cadets. At supper he sat on a stool in front of the open Franklin stove & handed us toast hot from the fire. Once ,while Weil was conversing in their language with a German visitor, and becoming quite excited,Jimmy's eyes and mouth opened wider and wider, and he fell backward from the stool, ejaculating "Puffickly hooge."
