- Translated Summary: Vilner thanks June Gordon for her letter of the 1st, and for the clothing en route. Unfortunately, the children were not photographed before their departure for the summer (to the ocean, the mountains, or abroad). Will get photos as soon as possible. Regarding the information needed for adoption papers, their colleague Lazar Wein, will write separately.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
