Postwar Order and Social Contract - Description:
- In Yiddish. Translated Summary: Received your greetings for the Jewish New Year (Rosh HaShana), which we conveyed to all our members, and we return those greetings on their behalf as well as ours. Wish success at rebuilding, at securing and enriching the lives, cultural institutions, etc. in the best interests of the remaining, small but important Jewish Yishuv (settlement, community) in Poland. [Dr. Berman was forced out of the CKŻP in 1949.]

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
