- In Yiddish. Translated Summary: Requests advice whether to send $5,000 to the children's home in cash through the Central Committee of Jews in Poland (CKŻP, Centralny Komitet Żydów w Polsce) or in the form of needed material aid. Also plans to send $15,000 to the CKŻP and requests the same advice. The Ordn has formed an aid organization. Expect in addition to the $15,000 another $25,000 in January of 1948. Says he (Rubin Saltzman) will leave the U.S. on December 11, 1947 to visit a string of European countries including, of course, Poland. Asks how he can best help. Logistics regarding $1,500 donation for memorial to the 6 million murdered Jews. [The Warsaw ghetto monument, sculpted by Nathan Rapoport (who worked under the supervision of Suzin), was unveiled on April 19, 1948.]

- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans. Documents include language and representations which comprise the historical record and should not be interpreted to mean that Cornell University or its staff endorse or approve of negative representations or stereotypes presented.
