Culture Front- Publishing - Description:
- Newspaper clipping may be from the Morgn-Freiheit. Headline, sub-headlines and first sentence only. Translated Summary: Celebration for Saltzman also includes a call to boycott the rival newpaper "Tog", and support its striking workers. 1940 was the year of his 50th birthday; there is correspondence indicating that there would be a celebebration. Also a strike against the Tog was resolved in 1941.
- Notes:
- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
