- This set of two maps draws attention to the author's criticism of previous German demands in World War I. It is part of a group of 27 maps illustrating a polemic article on the 'readjustment" of Europe in the eventual peace negotiations: "it is not without interest to speculate on the terms which shall satisfy the common and individual aims of the Allies or that may be indicated as essential to the maintenance of peaceful relations between the European states in the future."
