- These maps are from a revised, 1942 German-language version of the seminal booklet, "The War in Maps," published in 1941 by the "German Library of Information" in New York. For more information about this controversial publication, see ID ##1302.01-.07, "The War in Maps" (1941). (Maps largely duplicating the earlier publications are not repeated here.) These two maps chart the progress of the German invasion of Russia through "late Fall 1941," the high water mark of the operation.
