- Notes:
- This is one of four French classroom pictorial maps in the collection demonstrating the important role of gastonomy in French life, ID ##2028.01-.02 (1960) and ID ##2035.01-02 (1964). Note that although the title of the map, "Carte Economique," suggests a range of national economic and commercial information, the map itself focuses largely on food and wine (with color illustrations) at the expense of industry (shown mostly in grey).
The collection includes a number of promotional maps related to the food and wine of France and other countries, beginning as early as 1809. Search > "Gastronomique."
