- A map of planning for the post-war redevelopment of London, a strong signal of British confidence and determination. This is the key map from a classified report prepared in 1943 and released in July 1944 - after the Normandy landings, but at a time when German bombs and V1 rockets were still falling on the city. Note that the title focuses on "Opportunities" and the portions of the City most devastated by bombing and fire (colored orange) are labeled: "Areas Where Redevelopment May be Considered Imminent"!
