Voting Campaigns - Description:
- Letter to Sidney Hillman, head of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, congratulating him, the CIO Political Action Committee, and the ALP (American Labor Party) on the successful campaign to re-elect Franklin Delano Roosevelt for a fourth term. Notes antisemitic and other attacks on Hillman and states that the JPFO "..shall contInue our full support to PAC and the ALP."
- Notes:
- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
