- Hadassah Letter re: what will be named, based on the amount the JPFO is willing to give. Offers the children's pavillion with its four wards. Acknowledges the importance and leadership of JPFO, "which is in the fore-front of all constructive social efforts for our people... We would want to give important publicity to this gift and to let Palestine know of your generosity, for we are sure that it will bring new heart and energy to the struggling Yishuv." Funds were raised by the JPFO as part of its Jewish Relief and Rehabilitation Fund drive.
- Notes:
- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
