- The Feature of the Day article reports that supporters of rallies and petitions do not understand the false premises that underly a Communist Party sponsored campaign for clemency. "Actually, the Rosenbergs were convicted, and face execution, as terribly successful spies. Rarely in a criminal case has any couple been so clearly guilty." Allegations of anti-semitism by supporters are dismissed. The Rosenbergs were sentenced to death on April 5, 1951 and executed on June 19, 1953.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
