- Part of a series of six articles that ran as the New York Post's Feature of the Day. This article reports on the Rosenberg children, portraying Ethel Rosenberg's mother, Mrs. Greenglass as an honest mother and grandmother living in poverty in the Lower East Side (64 Sherrif Street), unable to take care of her grandchildren in a small cold-water flat. Mrs. Greenglass is reported as wanting her daughter to confess to stealing atomic secrets and supporting her son David's confession. The Rosenbergs were sentenced to death on April 5, 1951 and executed on June 19, 1953.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
