- 2 pages. Press release from the JPFO demanding that the United Nations grant temporary trusteeship over Palestine to the USA, USSR, Great Britain, and France. Also demands support as well from President Truman and Secretary of State Marshall for four principles. Calls for open immigration to Palestine for internees at D.P. camps; support for UNSCOP; and an independent state with "equal national social and political rights to both peoples." Notes that it is the second largest Jewish fraternal order in the United States with "a membership of over 60,000."

- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans. Documents include language and representations which comprise the historical record and should not be interpreted to mean that Cornell University or its staff endorse or approve of negative representations or stereotypes presented.
