- Translated Summary: Reminder of upcoming concert, organized by the Bronx District Committee, at the Bessarabian Center. Honored guests will be the poet Malka Lee, and Gedaliah Sandler. Recipients are urged to invite not just the members of their executives, but as many members of their clubs as possible.

- Documents organizational antecedents to the Emma Lazarus Division, founded in 1944 by the Women's Division of the Jewish People's Fraternal Order of the International Workers Order (IWO). The Division eventually became the Emma Lazarus Federation of Jewish Women's Clubs (ELF)
The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans. Documents include language and representations which comprise the historical record and should not be interpreted to mean that Cornell University or its staff endorse or approve of negative representations or stereotypes presented. - Cite As:
