- Translated Summary: Invitation from members of the Women's Clubs to the Executive Committee to come to meeting of June 19th, which will also be a celebration of the completion of the campaign. West End refers to Brighton Beach, Brooklyn where Clara Lemlich Shavelson lived, a neighborhood which had some of the most active organizers from the JPFO and the Emma Lazarus Division. Joe Shavelson is the Secretary for the West End District.

- Documents organizational antecedents to the Emma Lazarus Division, founded in 1944 by the Women's Division of the Jewish People's Fraternal Order of the International Workers Order (IWO). The Division eventually became the Emma Lazarus Federation of Jewish Women's Clubs (ELF)
The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
