This is a small, tubular, opaque black glass bead with three red stripes. This bead is closest to type Ib3 in the system derived by Kenneth and Martha Kidd, which is often used by archaeologists to classify beads. This is a drawn bead-- drawn glass beads are made by pulling, or "drawing," molten glass into long hollow tubes.
