In this article Randall Forsberg presents her vision for the 1980s and her ideas on how to forge a powerful peace coalition that is strong enough to stop the US-Soviet arms race. She believes that the coalition should encompass all groups that support disarmament. The purpose of the coalition should be to develop a shared medium-term goal that Forsberg hopes could be realistically reached within 5 years. Stopping the development and production of all new and additional nuclear weapons is a good example, she argues, of a possible shared intermediate goal.
