- Stephen H. Weiss, an investment banker and prominent member of the Class of 1957 served on the Cornell Board of Trustees for 24 years (1973-1997) and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1989 to 1997. To commemorate his service to Cornell University, his class dedicated this portrait on 12 September 2010. The portrait is part of the Class of 1957’s 45th Reunion and renovation of the Otto Kinkeldey Room in Uris Library. The portrait is a copy of the original oil painting that hangs in the Board Room at the Weill Cornell Medical Center (WCMC) in New York City, which Steve Weiss helped to found in 1980, and where he served as the first Chairman of the Board of Overseers. Weiss was one of Cornell's most generous benefactors, his donations include: the Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellowships

John Boyd Martin is an American artist from Ottawa, Kansas. Martin studied at the University of Kansas School of Fine Arts. He began his career as a graphic designer, illustrator and later a notable advertisement director. In 1986 he dedicated himself to being a portrait artist.
