- Description:
- A light skinned man working at a warping machine. He holds many threads in his right hand, while with his left he adjusts the positioning of other threads. The man is in the lower left of the image and is dwarfed by the hundreds of threads making up 6 layers of warp. The warp layers meet near the center of the frame as they enter an enormous mechanical loom. Along the leftmost edge of the frame are several spools of thread on a creel. Many large, multi-paned windows are in the background wall of the image, but no natural light is coming through.
