 Grid on first terrace of the Gave de Pau river
 rectangle of 6 large blocks opening to river and with the city hall-market building at the opposite end.
 Market square with unbroken arcades on opposite sides. One of these provides access to a notable building of the 16th century inside courtyard is a four level arched gallery, each level supported by columns in a different order.
