- Block test consists of picking up small disks of wood which are laid out in the pattern of the board and putting them into the board in the corresponding holes. This is a fairly simple test and the result is judged on speed alone since there is not much chance of anybody making a mistake. In other tests, accuracy as well as speed is counted in making up the final score.

- Woman is timed while moving pegs from one part of the board to another. Woman is referred to as girl. Language is condescending "not much chance of anybody making a mistake."
